WACCT Hosts First-Ever Community College Summit
On December 6, the WACCT hosted the first-ever Wyoming Summit on Community Colleges, a day-long event focused on ensuring that our students are well prepared for the workforce they will enter over the next decade.
Former Microsoft executive and current Northwest College Trustee Rick LaPlante kicked off the Summit with a thought-provoking discussion of the importance of postsecondary education, both to our students, and to our economy. Click here to download Trustee LaPlante’s presentation.
Western Wyoming Community College President Dr. Karla Leach introduced Summit participants to Wyoming’s community colleges, providing a historical look at their development, discussing current strengths and challenges, and looking toward their future.
