Trustee Education

In order to effectively serve their constituents and, more importantly, the students who attend their colleges, trustees must continually update their knowledge about general practices and specific issues.  The WACCT created a Trustee Education Committee to develop and deliver valuable educational programs that meet both needs.

The Trustee Education Committee is composed of the following members:

  • Mike Varney, Chairman                                Eastern Wyoming College
  • Carolyn Danko                                                  Northwest College
  • Dave Ebertz                                                  NWCCD – Gillette Advisory Board
  • Carol Merrill                                                  Laramie County Community College

The Committee will deliver two primary educational sessions each year: one in the summer and one in conjunction with the WACCT Conference during the legislative session.  Other educational sessions will be coordinated and provided as needed, and member suggestions and feedback are always encouraged to ensure that WACCT educational offerings are meeting member needs.
